In the beginning of 2011 God placed within the heart of a few native Utahns a dream for a local church that was all about worshiping a God who has chosen to make himself know in a very local way. From this dream was birthed the community of East Avenue, an experiment in doing life and church differently, a dream to be immersed in the here and now and allow the way of Jesus to lead is into a life of honest community, authentic spirituality, and missional living.
Each week we come together in home churches located across the valley working to engage and be engaged by the Gospel, to do community honestly, and to place our hands on the Gospel that is transforming our lives.
The first Sunday of the month we gather the whole East Avenue to celebrate the work Christ is doing, to celebrate resurrection. It's a chance to worship, listen, participate, and celebrate collectively.
It's all a process of re-imagining the rhythms of our lives, re-imagining and then re-connecting to the rhythm of a God who is at work redeeming and reconciling.
